The high elevation, cold climate, and humid environment produces the perfect conditions for the tea plant to thrive. This premium tea is only harvested once a year, just prior to the monsoon season which results in a tea with complex layers of flavours.

Nuwara Eliya single estate tea is best enjoyed straight since the flavours intensify as the brewed tea cools. The result is a tea with musky sweet tasting notes similar to muscat wine. It can also possess delicate vegetal, mossy, fruity, and citrus flavours produced in high grown Nuwara Eliya tea.
